Welcome to the website of the European Federation of Bottled Waters

The European Federation of Bottled Waters (‘EFBW’) was founded in 2003 in order to represent the interests of all types of packaged waters across the enlarged European Union. The natural mineral water producers were the first to be represented at European level with the setting up of UNESEM in 1953 (Union Européenne des Sources d’Eaux Minérales).

EFBW is committed to working with the European and International institutions which regulate bottled water, to promoting high quality standards within the industry and to providing information on current issues. The Federation is an active member of the CIAA, the European Food and Drinks Association, and of ICBWA, the International Council of Bottled Waters Associations.

EFBW is a registered not for profit international association based in Brussels with a full time professional staff.
